Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
Collabily is operated by Busfluence LLC, a New York limited liability company doing business as Collabily. You can reach us at support@collabily.com.
This Privacy Policy explains how Collabily ("Collabily," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Collabily mobile app and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
1. Information We Collect
Account & profile information. When you create an account, we collect your name, username, email address, password, date of birth, and account type (influencer or business). You may also add a profile photo, bio, city and state, gender, languages, and social media handles.
Business profile information. Business accounts may additionally provide a business name, description, industry, years in business, number of employees, monthly budget, and the audience they're looking to work with.
Content you submit. Photos, videos, posts, collaboration deliverables, messages, and reviews you upload or send through the Service.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full card number or bank account details on our own servers — Stripe collects and stores that information directly under its own privacy policy and security standards. We do receive limited payment metadata from Stripe (such as transaction amounts and status) needed to operate the Service. Influencers who set up payouts go through Stripe Connect, which independently verifies identity and bank account information.
Location information. With your permission, we use your device's location, which can be precise (GPS), to power "near me" discovery. Your city and state, and the coordinates we use for search, are stored with your profile and sent to our search provider (Algolia) so that results can be sorted by distance. You can decline or later revoke location access through your device settings; you can still choose a city manually.
Calendar. If you choose to add a reminder to your calendar, the app asks for calendar permission and adds the event to your device's calendar. We don't read your other calendar entries.
Usage & device information. Like most apps, we automatically collect some technical information — device identifiers such as your push-notification token and, if allowed, your advertising identifier, along with your IP address, device type, operating system, app version, crash logs, and general usage patterns — to help us maintain and improve the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account and profile
- To connect businesses and influencers, and to facilitate collaborations, partnership posts, offers, and messaging between users
- To process payments and payouts through Stripe
- To send you notifications about offers, messages, approvals, and account activity
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service
- To improve and maintain the Service
3. How We Share Your Information
With other users. Your profile information, public content, reviews, and anything you send another user (like messages or offers) is visible to the relevant users on the platform.
Our team. Our team can view content and messages that are reported to us, and may access other content when needed to investigate abuse, enforce our Terms, or comply with the law.
Service providers. We share information with the third parties that power the Service, including:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage, cloud functions, and push notifications
- Firebase Analytics (Google) — aggregate app usage analytics, such as which features are used and how often
- Stripe, Inc. — payment processing and influencer payouts (Stripe Connect)
- Algolia — search and discovery features
- AppsFlyer — attribution analytics that tell us how users found the app (for example, which ad or link led to an install). On iOS, AppsFlyer only accesses your device's advertising identifier if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
We do not sell your personal information. If you allow it on iOS (or leave it enabled on Android), we use your device's advertising identifier through AppsFlyer to measure which ads or links led to an install. You can turn this off in your device's privacy settings.
4. Data Retention & International Transfers
The Service is currently offered to users in the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, you do so at your own initiative and your information will be processed in the United States.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we're required to retain certain records (for example, transaction records for tax, accounting, or legal purposes). Encrypted backups of our database can contain deleted information for up to about 14 weeks before they are removed automatically. Step-by-step instructions are on our delete your account page.
Our service providers (Firebase, Stripe, Algolia, and AppsFlyer) may process and store information on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required by applicable law, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as standard contractual clauses or the provider's own certified transfer mechanisms — to protect information transferred internationally.
5. Your Choices & Rights
- You can review and update most of your profile information at any time from within the app.
- You can turn push and email notifications on or off in Settings.
- You can block another user from Settings or their profile page — this hides their profile and content from you and prevents them from contacting you. You can report a user or piece of content for review at any time using the report option on their profile.
- You can permanently delete your account from Settings → Privacy & Accessibility → Delete Account. This action cannot be reversed.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information under applicable law. Contact us using the information below to make such a request.
California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction of that information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 9 — we'll verify your identity before fulfilling the request, and we respond to verified requests within 45 days (we may extend this once, with notice). Precise location is "sensitive personal information"; we use it only to provide the "near me" features you ask for and do not use it to infer other characteristics about you.
EEA/UK residents. If you're located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, our legal basis for processing your information is generally your consent, the necessity of processing to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), or our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service. You have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 9.
6. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under 13. Use of the Service — including any feature involving payments or payouts — requires meeting the minimum age set out in our Terms of Service. If we learn we've collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you through the app or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect.
